At Upward Way Homestead, we provide a sanctuary for those seeking renewal, refreshment, and spiritual connection with God. Inspired by the concept of cities of refuge found in Scripture, our retreat embodies the essence of safety and mercy. Just as the seven cities offered a haven for the accused, our center serves as a place where individuals can seek refuge not only from life’s burdens but also from the emotional and physical challenges they face. Here, we cultivate an environment of hope and healing, allowing guests to find solace and strength in their journey.
Our logo featuring the “Red Door” symbolizes this commitment to safety and healing, harkening back to the days of the Underground Railroad. The red door represented a resting place for those escaping the chains of oppression, a sign of concealment and protection from pursuers. In our retreat, we believe that crossing through our red door invites individuals into a nurturing community that calls upon the Lord for healing and deliverance, offering both support and encouragement.

In Just 2 Days

God’s Divine healing
My sister and I went to upwardway homestead for healing me- for a fatty liver and kidney issues and my sister for cancer. We are pretty healthy people but we realize that despite healthy living we live in an unhealthy environment in this world and bad things do happen to healthy people also. We are happy for what happened to us here at upwardway homestead. My sister with her cancer we say a difference in her take place after four days the cancer started leaving her body. It was amazing. I won’t go into the details for not wanting to get into the details that may offend some, but God showed up and showed out with her healing. We are so thankful to Charmaine and Jon for their support and the program God has helped them put together for help hope and healing. My sister is doing good still on her program and healing every day. I really enjoyed all the wonderful meals she put together for us and yes the recipes go home with you so you can keep healing along with a list of all the herbs and supplements she gave you at the center. I am doing well my body is still detoxing like my sister. and we are being cleaned from the inside out the atmosphere of their center is wonderful. A country setting out in nature perfect to help you heal.

In His Time
Upwardway Homestead staff is an oasis of refreshment for this weary soul. I had been needing a mental reset, metal detox for years, but life demands would not allow the time until God put it all together for a tremendous blessing.
I received so much more than a detox with these beautiful people. Clay baths in the outdoor tub, oxygen tent, ozone therapy, detox tea, yummy “glory bowls” at meal time, hikes in the mountains, gathering herbs, picking fruit in the orchard and produce from the garden all came together with the loving family atmosphere to provide healing to my entire being. Singing at worship as a family fed my soul and uplifting, kind conversations had with Charmaine, Jon, Jonathan and Elaina and other guest, touched my heart which healed so much more than physical. I did lose 12 lbs and my skin cleared and I had energy to spare and hormones leveled, but more than that, hope in God’s blueprint was restored because it was fleshed out in front of me.
God brought me to Upwardway, In His Time, for Such a Time. I am grateful beyond words for the experience in growth and wellness that the weeks there afforded. Thanks to all the staff for your commitment to allow God to use your gifts and experience to bless others in their walk with the Lord in recovering health of body, soul, and spirt. 🐝💪🙏🕊❤️🎶 I am forever changed for the better.
